Photos from Bolivia
In February and March 2000 I travelled in Bolivia.As you can see from these highlights, it's a stunningly beautiful and amazingly varied country, with deserts, lakes, mountains and jungles, and many thousands of years of history.

Image on right: Capuchin monkey, Inti Wara Yassi wildlife refuge in central Bolivia. This refuge rescues and rehabilitates native animals that have been illegally poached and kept in homes or circuses. The refuge is staffed partly by volunteers, often backpackers. These monkeys are wily, deft little creatures: some of them have even learned to undo zippers, so be wary!
